ST. TRESA’S TEACHER TRAINING INSTITUTE, KUMBALAM A BRIEF HISTORY OF VALIYAVILA FOUNDATIONAND IT’S ST. TRESA’S TTI, KUMBALAM

St. Tresa’s Teacher Training Institute (St. Tresa’s TTI), Kumbalam, is sponsored by the Valiyavila Foundation, a charitable Trustestablished in2007. The Institution was inaugurated by Sri. Alexander, IAS, Former Chief Secretary and Cabinet Minister, Karnataka State, Indiaon November 2007. The National Council for Teacher Education issued the Recognitionfor this institution on 19th November 2007 and also received the permanent NOC from State Government of Kerala on 18th June 2009. It is a Residential and semi-residential College.
The institution is located in India, Kerala State, Kollam Dist. Perayam Village in Kumbalam area, sight-seen area adjacent to the beautiful Ashtamudi lake. Kollam-Theni highway also passes through Kumbalam village. This institution is just half a kilometre away from the Kollam Theni highway.Our campus is characterized by beautiful surroundings and a peaceful and pollution-free environment.
This institution has been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education to conduct 2-year TTC course with an intake of 50 students every year.This course evolved into“Teacher Training Course”(TTC) in 2007 and later into “Diploma in Elementary Education”(D.El Ed.) in 2021.
